The brief was to find and research a product with a hole within the market to fill. Upon looking at the toothpaste market, I noticed that most toothpaste comes in a squeeze plastic tube in a box which can get quite messy and is bad for the environment. There are also minimal products that come in a travel size. I decided to create a toothpaste that is refillable, not messy and suitable for travel. I wanted the product to have personality and stand out from other toothpaste brands.
Fresca is a refillable toothpaste product. The company is friendly, modern, trustworthy, charismatic and makes oral care fun. The product is targeted towards people who care about the environment, families who want toothpaste which is clean, practical and easy to use as well as those who are on the go and need travel size toothpaste. There are three different product options: whitening, charcoal and sensitive. The bottles for the pumps are airless pump bottles. They are refillable, reduce air contamination and makes the product last longer. The refills have an easy to pour spout and are rectangular shaped for easy stacking.
